CE Massage School Wanda Williams
Hello Houston, I'm in West Houston! The school at the bay was great. We had plenty of space and I appreciate all of you who made the trip from Houston and surrounds. When Hurricane Rita threatened, and I found myself in a car for 10 hours instead of safely tucked away at home, I decided it was time to move a bit more West. Away from the coast and into the trees. So, as of late 2007, CE Massage School is now in West Houston in Bear Creek Village just inside Highway 6 at Clay Road. It's five miles from Highway 290, five miles from I-10 and five miles from the Beltway. It's easy to find and in wonderful surroundings. Not quite ready to start over again, I went out and took a job for a few months at a nearby spa. The school seemed to go on without me -- I learned I didn't have to do anything but answer the phone. For a while, the Galveston area people pulled me back then Houston people started calling. So, after teaching months without doing any advertising, I am finally bringing my website up to date. A lot has happened in these months:
Back to CE Massage School -- classes are purposely limited to two to nine students, providing actual hands-on experience in addition to written and verbal instruction. It's easy to ask questions and compare experiences in such an intimate, friendly environment. Since opening its doors in 2002, students have come from as far as Madisonville, Hempstead, Kingwood, The Woodlands and throughout the surrounding area. For those who don't know me, I was the founder/owner of the Texas Massage Institute in Houston for 10 years and returned to teaching at the request of former students. I've been a massage therapist for 35+ years and not just a teacher, but a practitioner as well and use these techniques and modalities first-hand. . My specialties include rehabilitation work in back, carpal tunnel, foot problems such as plantar fascitis, lymph including, but not limited to, swelling after breast cancer treatment, neck injuries including whiplash, shoulder injuries and unique relaxation and stress relief techniques. But don't just take my word for it! Here's what massage clients are saying... "...having subscribed to massages with you on a regular basis, the old pains that were keeping me from enjoying life and work to the fullest are GONE! I appreciate what you have done for my health, my mind and spirit." Emma Lee Turney "I've had Rheumatoid Arthritis for 16 years. Thanks to my ongoing work with you, I have complete range-of-motion in every joint." Barbara Tungate "When your job requires sitting and staying focused for long periods of time, you come to appreciate tools that enhance this ability. Getting regular massages has contributed to my own physical well-being and emotional alertness." G. Lippmann, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist "Wanda Williams has been my massage therapist since Fall of 2004. I was having extreme pain in my back and neck and Wanda was able to work out all of the problems that caused the pain. Since then she has not only kept my back and neck in good condition but when I started having a problem with my feet, she got that straightened out also. I don't know what I'd do without her! She has kept me walking around straight and pain free for well over a year." Susan Johnston And here's what continuing education students are saying: "I will attend any class you teach..." "You are my favorite teacher!" "I am so happy with what I've learned. It can help me in life." "I always learn more in Wanda's classes than I came to learn." "I was able to ask enough questions without feeling I should keep to myself in order to keep the class going." A $25 deposit holds your space with the balance due on class day. The deposit is forfeitable only if the student does not show or call to transfer to another class. All classes can be held on Sundays so no one has to miss a day of work to take required CE courses. All classes are from 10 to 4. Each 6-hour unit is $125.00. Teacher Training is also available for $625, with a $125 deposit, a 30-hour course in four 7-1/2 hour days. Click on "Classes" to see what's available and how to Create Your Own Class. The best way to reach me is to call. I do read e-mails but miss some.
